The Boruca people are indigenous american indians that dwell near the mountains in the south of Costa Rica (Buenos Aires and Osa, in the province of Puntarenas). These people would make wooden boats to travel downstream the Térraba river (Río Grande de Térraba) to the beaches of Ventanas and Piñuela. They fish with their own techniques near the ocean.
