La Fortuna is a very touristic town in the region of San Carlos. Its biggest attraction is the Arenal Volcano, which can be seen from the town.

The town has many restaurants, hotels, cabinas, and other tourist services. There is bus service from Ciudad Quesada. There is a beautiful waterfall 15 mins from town.
