Isla del Coco (Coco's Island) is a small island (24 square km) in the pacific ocean which forms part of Costa Rica. The whole island and the sea surrounding it is part of a National Park.

It has several indigenous species, and it has been considered one of the best places in the world to dive, especially to see huge gatherings of hammerhead sharks.

It is located 532 km southeast of Puntarenas, and legend says, the pirates that looted the Inca empire buried their treasure in an island in the pacific, possibly Coco's Island. Multiple treasure hunters have arrived throughout the centuries to search for this treasure, but nobody has found it.
